We are currently seeking M&A Specialist to join our Data&Content Services team in our Budapest office.

Position overview

MSCI Equity Indices are maintained with the objective of reflecting the evolution of the underlying equity markets on a timely basis. Ongoing event-related changes to the indices resulting from M&As, spin-offs, bankruptcies, reorganizations and other corporate actions (e.g. stock splits, rights offerings, dividends, etc…) can affect many aspects of an index and its constituents. This may result in changes in index memberships, weights, size, style and industry classifications.

Responsibilities

  • Check the news, monitor events and markets, ensure accurate interpretation and timely implementation of such event-related changes to the MSCI indices for several European equity markets
  • Propose corporate event implementation and recommendation submitted to decision-making Committees
  • Ensure that the corporate event cases are properly implemented in the calculation of the indices and are reflected in MSCI Equity products
  • Responsible for writing answers to MSCI client queries related to corporate events and Equity Benchmark methodology
  • Propose enhancements to the methodology, processes and applications used by the corporate events team
  • Participate in and initiate projects related to the corporate events function.
