Position overview
 
The MSCI Barra Global Client Service team is composed of experienced financial professionals that provide first tier support for our clients around the world. Currently, the Global Client Service group is present in the following locations: San Francisco, New York, London, Cape Town, Budapest, Mumbai, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sydney and Tokyo. Team members are responsible for directly responding to a wide variety of methodology, usage, interpretational and technical questions on MSCI Barra benchmark, risk and performance analytics products.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • This role is ideally suited to an analytical individual that would like to gain exposure to the financial sales industry. Opportunities for growth lie within the Global Client Service Team supporting our clients as well as Sales groups in the EMEA region.
  • Using internal databases to prepare revenue analysis to aid contract negotiations
  • Using internal and external databases to prepare market opportunity analysis to aid sales efforts
  • Helping to support and coordinate sales campaigns carried out by the sales teams. This may include:
    • Cold calling prospective clients
    • Informing our clients of latest improvements to our products
    • Helping to coordinate sales campaigns (reporting, contract creation)
  • Supporting the creation of Proposals and RFP/RFIs
Desired experience and qualifications
  • Strong Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics or similar subject
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience
  • Post graduate qualification in Finance (M.Sc./M.B.A./P.G.D.M.)
  • Additional qualifications in CFA (US) and/or FRM would be a plus, for candidates looking for rapid career development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Excel (Macro/VBA experience will be an advantage) and Powerpoint Skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight, short-term deadlines.
  • Second language is a must (German or French)
