Position overview
The candidate will be primarily in charge of developing extensions to the calculation and product generation systems of MSCI using state of the art technologies (Java 6, JMS, Spring etc…).He or she will have to proactively learn our systems and then lead enhancements and propose new ideas while respecting the consistency and standards of the current team.
If selected, you will work as part of a delivery focused and talented software development team responsible for designing, developing and supporting the index and product generation platforms.
You will use cutting edge software development techniques and technologies, following the best practices of the industry.

Desired experience and qualifications
- A University Undergraduate or Master’s Degree in Computer Science
- 4+ years professional experience of developing web applications in Java
- Fluent English
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
- Excellent understanding in applying modern technologies to the processing of various financial instruments and products
- Practical experience using Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, multithreading, JDBC
- XML technologies
- Solid experience with industrial strength relational database such as Sybase and/or Oracle
- Preferable skills
