Reconciliation Accountant with English language knowledge

About the company
Our client is a Business Service Centre (BSC) in Budapest which provides Finance, Customer Service and Procurement services.

Job description

  • Support preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliation in accordance with the company’s policy on Reconciliations
  • Ensuring proper documentation on the reconciliation template and preparing reconciliation templates using Microsoft Excel
  • Comparing the financial ledger balance with independent source media
  • Researching and identifying reconciling differences; making correcting entries or establishing clear action plans to resolve differences
  • Following up on action plans to ensure all open items are cleared within the timeframe mandated by the Policy
  • Validating balance sheet accounts for compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Obtaining and validating the accuracy and completeness of account balances
  • Providing an analysis of significant movements in balance sheet accounts
  • Reporting periodically on the status of all reconciliations
  • Keeping contact with other departments

Job requirements

  • Fluent English language knowledge
  • Experience in performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Financial accounting experience
  • Experience in RTR activities
  • Experience of IFRS
  • Qualified accountant, especially Group / IFRS Reporting
  • Good level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness
  • Experience with SAP Financials

Personality/Competencies

  • The candidate preferably comes from an SSC
  • Readiness for action and ability to work under pressure
  • Self confident appearance in relations to the internal and outside world
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills
  • Assertiveness
