Procurement Master Data Steward with English and German language knowledge

Our client is a Business Service Centre (BSC) in Budapest which provides Finance, Customer Service and Procurement services.

Job description

• Understanding requirements and setting up master records and operational/local data needed to enable transaction processing. For example, customer shipping or banking data
• Updating data / systems as needed, subject to authorisation by the data owner, subject matter expert and Global Vendor Data Steward (there will be more local master data to set up and maintain in the ERP than Master data)
• Regional/local setup and maintenance of system supplier contracts and price catalogue data under the authorisation of the contract owner and overseeing any supplier self managed price catalogue updates
• Regional/local setup and maintenance of materials and service masters in the ERP with regard to the localised data elements as authorized by the data owner, subject matter expert and Global Material Data Steward.
• Assuring that accuracy and integrity of data is maintained in a timely manner and monitoring data creation, maintenance and deletions for effective and efficient system operations and informational reporting
• Maintaining client level view of the master databases
• Ensuring client level data standards are applied to all new and/or change requests
• Ensuring materials and vendor requests do not duplicate existing records within R&M Procurement Purchase to Pay databases
• Assisting with existing data conversion/enrichment

Job requirements

• College or University degree
• English and/or German knowledge is a must
• Three to five years experience in data administration or master data systems development
• with a good understanding of the principles of data conversion, consolidation and
• harmonization
• Good understanding of ERP / data warehouse applications
