Group Reporting Accountant with Dutch language knowledge

About the company
Our client is a Business Service Centre (BSC) in Budapest which provides Finance, Customer Service and Procurement services. 

Job description

  • Support of timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes, and accurate reporting in accordance with Finance Standards and Practices
  • Support the delivery of timely and accurate Statutory accounts and Tax analyses through liaison with Statutory/Tax Reporting teams and external auditors
  • Manage the General Accounting activities relating to assigned clients / fields including account maintenance, reviewing and/or processing Journals, GL documents for Businesses e.g. accruals, allocations, equity evaluation/estimation and adjustment
  • Ensure timely and accurate submissions to Group Accounts including GAIT submission for assigned reporting units
  • Support General Ledger period end Close Process and activities
  • Support alignment with the Statutory and Tax team to produce statutory accounts and tax submissions
  • Work with and review work of Outsourced Service Providers
  • Work with other BSC Process Teams including Payables, Cash & Banking Accounts Payable and Intercompany Teams to ensure data entering ledgers is high quality and accurate
  • Fully understand and apply Group Accounting Policies and relevant Group & Finance Standards & Practices
  • Coach, mentor and support other team members

Job requirements

  • Fluent English and intermediate Dutch language knowledge and interpersonal skills with particular focus on client responsiveness
  • Good level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness
  • Readiness for action and ability to work under pressure,
  • Self confident appearance in relations to the internal and outside world
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills
  • Fully qualified accountant, especially Group / IFRS Reporting

Personality/Competencies

  • High level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness
  • Good interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform effective teamwork and collaboration
