Finance Accountant with Czech language knowledge

About the company
Our client is a Business Service Centre (BSC) in Budapest which provides Finance, Customer Service and Procurement services.

Job description

  • Execution of timely monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, and accurate reporting in accordance with Finance Standards and Practices
  • The role may be assigned to assist a specific Financial Accounting Team Lead or to manage a less complex portfolio.
  • Support Business clients in understanding General Ledger and Group reporting pertaining to them
  • Support the General Ledgers relating to assigned clients including reviewing and/or processing Journals for the Business e.g. allocations and adjustments
  • Ensure timely and accurate submissions to Group Accounts
  • Support General Ledger Close Process
  • Perform transactional accounting activities in A/P, G/L, Fixed assets and produce statutory accounts and tax submissions
  • Perform indirect Tax activities where necessary
  • Internal Control – Produce reconciliations (and supporting evidence where necessary) to ensure the BSC meets its Balance Sheet Integrity obligations. Review and test control compliance
  • Work with other Accountants on Cash & Banking Accounts Payable and Intercompany activities in order to ensure data entering ledgers is high quality and accurate.

Job requirements

  • College or university degree
  • Some financial accounting experience
  • At least intermediate Czech knowledge is a must
  • Intermediate English
